Solid color SL2h-mah-mahogany is my favorite wood and I am not big on the trans finishes-preferably snow white matching headstock
black hardware
red or black logo
pickups-I could care less-my choice would be Dimarzio Tone zone,paf pro or EMG's-pickups is not an issue cause they can be changed although once you have a battery box..well you have a battery box-

Been thinking about getting just a plain custom like this-maybe just dots-although I know no inly changeds on an ltd-something like that an I am in-probably go for a color change but no wood change-thats the issue with me I want a solid color SL2-mah

Hey Scott, What are the chances of doing a limited run on an SLATQH? I have no idea what everyone would agree on as far as options, but I bet if you could do an SLATQH, with EMGs, a custom color (maybe a PC1 type finish like euphoria, chlorine, Redrum or solar yellow) with an oiled neck and natural binding, you would have a lot of interest. I know I would be in for sure. I imagine that they would say no though. The SLATQH is already a limited production guitar. Hey It's worth a shot. Let me know if you think it's a possibility.

Ya, that would be cool, Jim.
But with the price increase.. dayum! Would those be expensive.
I would fear having to pay for 10-12 of those and sit on them for a while.
But like I metioned in the above post, if we can get about 8 buyers on a SlatQ, i would do a small batch run.
BTW: you still in for the SL2H purple ?

I know I would do a SLATQH for sure.

As far as the purple SL2H, I want one really bad, but I just don't know if I can swing it. To be honest with ya, I wouldn't if I there was interest in an SLATQH run. I probably would if there was no interest. I'll PM ya.

I like the idea of the SLATQH too. I talked to Scott about a Chlorine run a while back. The problem(s) are, the cost, and getting enough people. Since the price increase went into effect, a SLATQ run would be expensive. Don't get me wrong, I like a SLATQ better than any other production Jackson. I don't see why Jackson doesnt offer them in the PC1 colors. [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] or, with a Floyd.

If there was a run, I wouldnt want the oiled neck. I had a SLATQ with an oiled neck a while back, and the open grain felt like 80 grit sandpaper.

I'm gonna stick with the Chlorine SL2T, and this purple run of SL2's. Then see what comes up down the road (if I'm still married [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] )J/K....The wife is really cool about it.

The order is officially in and sealed.
The pick ups I went with are the Dimarzio Super 3 in the bridge position and the Humbucker from hell in the neck position.

If you guys arent familiar with that pick up, here's the run down from dimarzio:
