Estimate of custom shop price

I know this has been asked before, but search didn't turn up anything (the thread(s) I had in mind may have been on the old board and went down with the ship) - what's a (very) approximate estimate of how much the actual price for a jackson custom shop guitar is compared to the estimate the online generator gives you? (I think I remember people posting several different little formulas; *2/3 or 60% or 80% or 90% or something.)

I'm not really anywhere near ready to actually think about buying, so I don't really want to hassle any dealers with this sort of question yet.

Obviously different dealers will offer different prices, but it's usually a safe bet to start with 50% of what the online quote generator says and work your way up or down by 10-15% to find what the range of actual price would be.

How do you guys come up with the money for all these "Custom Shop" Jacksons/Charvels [img]/images/graemlins/brow.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]??? I've seen posts where guys where buying like 2 Custom Shops at once, or like 3-5 expensive USA Jacksons!?!?!? I won't discuss the percentage I get off on my custom shop orders (some of you know though), but lets just say that dealer loyality has been a nice reward for me. I have 2 on order that have insane options and they didn't break my bank. I ordered my first Jackson from this particular dealer in 1984, so all I would recommend is to build a relationship with a good dealer and eventually you'll be treated like family (maybe).
