Hello all! I recently purchased a beautiful used HT7 off of reverb, but unfortunately I'm having an issue with it:
I cannot get the action to 3/64's without bottoming out the saddles on the hipshot. I currently have the neck relief set at .18mm, which in my 18 years of playing has always been a sweet spot.
This is my 3rd guitar with a hipshot, and the other two both have the .125 base plate version, where as this guitar has the .175 version.
My initial thought was swapping that out, but I can't help but think that there must be a deeper underlying issue.
Since the guitar is used, I do not currently have the original sales receipt, however I'm trying to get it. Jackson/Fender will not provide warranty service without it either.
My question is, is this a common issue or not? I think it could be fixed with the other bridge type, but that's not really a good excuse for a guitar that costs this much.
