    Re: Opinions on trade offer

If it's an LTD serial #'d guitar from 1992, then no, that's a $5K guitar IMO (and ebay's) with huge upside. An RR serial #'d guitar is worth less since it's a replica so it may be a fair trade. Just my opinion however.

          If it's a pilot run, I guess a straight up trade is fair....if it's not a pilot, I'd want an extra $500 - $750.

[/ QUOTE ].....is there a Camo AND a Camo Pilot Zakk Les Paul??? Cort

Whats the difference between a pilot LP Camo and a non-pilot LP camo?

I will go against the grain-I would trade.
Custom Shop Les Paul with an unfinished maple neck. Gibson usually only runs their Sig runs fro about a year. If its just got an RR serial I would go for it. Maybe not if its your favorite guitar, but if it sits in the closet or on a stand, I would. Also I don't see customs anymore as a current model and thats all Zack uses, my friend met him and he was saying he only used customs. I forget why something to do with thickness.

Pilot runs are the some of the very first camos and consider as more rare.First 25 or so.
Sometimes you see these on E-bay or some dealers.
These were made before the production model became available.
They did the same thing with Joe Perry BoneYard Signature guitars.

Did some research..the first 25 were signed
by Zakk.Came with a pic of him signing the guitar you bought.Think serial number had a P in it also.Instead of just ZWC had something like ZWPC...Cort

                      Re: Opinions on trade offer

Depends on which one you want more. If you're concerned about resale value, look at who's buying each one, and what do they look for? If all the LTD collectors are looking at the RR serials as "lesser-quality" or whatever, will you get as much for it as a pilot ZW? Or even a production ZW?
I'd definitely want to know everything about the other guitar before I agreed to a trade. If you can meet with both guitars and do a trade face-to-face, I'd go that route so you both know what you're getting.
