Attn: Warrior fans! Anyone want a special run?

Hey Warrior fans, I was talking to my Jackson dealer today about a limited batch of WR1's. I've heard of a few people looking for a Warrior in black & red blood drip since the finish has been discontinued and I have really been wanting one myself. If 5 or 6 people are willing to pre-order one right off the bat, we could get a batch going. I requested keeping things pretty basic as they can't deviate too far from the normal Select WR1. In addition to the normal WR1 specs, they would have painted necks, color matched headstocks, and EMG's (would you guys want an 81 & 85?). Hardware would be black and probably Floyds unless something else (string thru?) proved more popular and Jackson would do it. If anyone is interested and would follow through with putting down money on one of these, I'd like to hear thoughts from you by email (I have pics of the finish I can email people)or by posting here. Thanks!

Hmmm, a Warrior I´m still missing in my collection, and like others I would love one in B/R Drip. I´d prefer the Duncans (Invader/Full Shred) and a Floyd, though. I´m not such a Fan of EMG´s, and a String-thru Warrior is just wrong IMO. But the only "deal Breaker" for me is the Floyd, I´m not gonna rout out a brand new Jackson [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

An oiled neck would be nice as well, but not essential [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

As far as cash goes, a 50% Down I could do by early November or so

I won't/can't be a part of this for several reasons...

But still I'd like to add some points:
Apart from the JS30WR there are no production Warriors available with a string-thru bridge, and AFAIK, never have been. (BTW, I ordered myself a JS30WR just because it has NO floyd... I would have loved to get a higher end Warrior w/ string-thru bridge).
Although I'm pretty sure Jackson won't allow this anyway in a limited run (since it requires changes to the body and a different neck angle), but if it could happen, a string-thru Warrior would be quite unique.

B/R blood drip would make it more special, too, and is a great idea IMO. Especially with a color-matched headstock... [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Just some thoughts to consider.

I'll pretty much guarantee they won't do a small batch of string-thru's...it would have to be Floyd, 2 hum, std headstock/inlays....and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do blooddrip since it's not available anymore..AFAIK.
But if you were able to get the string-thru without going custom shop please let me know as I'd definitely be in! Also I'd just suggest getting passive pups and anyone who wants EMG's can throw them in...then people who don't like EMG's won't have the battery box there (and this is coming from a die hard EMG guy).

I would be interested in a limited run of the warrior wr-1; however, i already have one in blood drips (red on black). honestly, its a finish that looks beeter in photos than in person (my opinion)..its cool, but i would be more interested in a camo/bomber finish...let's bring back the warbird warrior!

Well...I'd go in on it, but the B/R drip isn't my thing. I'm into solid colors these days.

Thanks for the input so far. I'm pretty flexible. I'd be happy with string thru or Floyd. I could also deal with the standard pickups. I was just thinking that EMG's would really nail it for the fans of heavier stuff a bloody warrior is aimed at. The one thing I HAVE to have is a painted neck, and I think a color matched headstock would rule. Also, I wanted to throw out a few other possible finish options. Maybe we could all list in order of preference what we'd like. Here's my top 5:
1. Blood Drip w/black hardware
2. Chlorine quilt or flame w/gold hw
3. Copperhead or Crimson Swirl w/black hw
4. Metallic Black w/gold hw
5. Snow White Pearl w/ gold hw or Yellow Pearl w/black or chrome hw

Keep it going guys.

Damn, I really wish I'd have known that this might have been possible before. I REALLY wanted to get a Warrior in Blood drip ever since I saw it in the old catalogs, but I just got the yellow one (still very cool though). If not for that I'd be in on this.

I'm down with the sickness...has to be blood drip, who wants a pretty warrior? I'd agree on the duncans, if you do a painted neck with matching H/S, you should also have the paint on the back of the guitar and up the neck as well!

Sounds great...reverse H/S with Reverse sharkies would KILL!

I doubt this project will get off the ground [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] ... but here is what I would be in for:

-String-through [img]/images/graemlins/drool2.gif[/img]
-Blood drip, graveyard, or swirl finish (crimson, silver, blue).
-No quilt tops... I think they would look funny on a Warrior. Flame tops are ok, but not too interesting to me on the body shape.
