My 2000 American Strat: (maple board)
Width at nut = 1.688 inch
Width at 3rd fret = 1.766 inch
Width at 12th fret = 2.036 inch
Thickness at 3rd fret = 0.865 inch
Thickness at 12th fret = 0.877 inch
Shape is definitely a constant round “C” shaped, standard Fender neck
My USA Adrian Smith (ebony board) serial 0083xx
Width at nut = 1.6925 inch
Width at 3rd fret = 1.810 inch
Width at 12th fret = 2.089 inch
Thickness at 3rd fret = 0.790 inch
Thickness at 12th fret = 0.847
Shape is “D” shaped (or ‘flattened’ C), definitely standard Jackson feel

I've been interested in this model myself but I'd really like to try one first. Seems like a pretty thin neck,according to the specs. Let us know if you get one,would love to know what you think
I picked up a USA Adrian Smith last year with ebony board. The neck is generally similar to premium Charvel/Jackson bolt-on superstrats, although it separates them from the run of the mill by having extraordinarily good fretwork and overall quality. The USA version is not just an expensive version of the import! It is leagues better!

I am going to guess that it is because most of the USA guitars are now mass produced. You are no longer getting 1 of 500, you are getting 1 of 10,000 or you could get an MiM which is 1 of 50,000.
