This is an original Jackson spare part, but I´m not sure if it fits older Made in USA Jackson:

I know that it does not fit old MIJ Professional Pros, it must be modified for that purpose.
My Jacksons: RR1 x2, RR Pro, Soloist Pro, RRXMG x2, SDX, JS32RR

The plate I have measures 86.4mm wide. The cavity measures 85.9mm.

Sanding down the plate will f up the screw holes. No way is the cavity going to be touched.

My tech showed me this: If you take a ruler across the back of the body there is a slight bow. (Very shallow smiley face).

Could the body have "warped" causing the plate to no longer fit?

in theory, you need 0.25mm off of each side.

swelling, due to humidity levels - totally possible.

This used SL1 came with a push/pull pot tone control wired to the bridge p/u to make it a single coil. I think it's a JB. I really like this!
