Going to look at a 1996 USA dinky, just wondering if this looks legit

The main thing I'm questioning is if the body is original. The wood pattern doesn't look like any from that era that I've seen. If anything looks off please let me know.

you could ask if he has any pictures of the inside of the neck pocket on the body

Serial number places it around 1996. I've seen plenty of similar 22 fret dinkies with figured tops in red and blue, but yeah I agree the top is a bit unusual.

Actually, a very similar top/color is actually in the catalog on page 6. so it looks good to me. still probably worth peeking the neck pocket if he lets you

Thanks for the responses. I requested pics of the back side of the body, and neck pocket and heel but never got a response. The ad was gone shortly after. Bummer
