I love the look of matte gold floyds ....is it as easy as just pulling out the JT6 and dropping in the floyd and hooking it up ?...can you use the exsisting JT6 posts ?

Is putting an OFR on just plug and play or is it major surgery ?

ofr is a direct swap for jt6. you can reuse the posts.
one potential issue is sometimes the trem cavity from jt6 equipped guitars may cause rubbing on an ofr. you won't know until you try it. if it does rub sometimes the ofr can be modified to prevent it, or the route slightly enlarged.
there are some other threads on here about jt6 and ofr compatability if I can dig them up.

I swapped a JT6 for an OFR on my M6 because I needed a black JT6 on another build. No issues with the M6 because it was top mounted. But for a guitar with a pull up route ( a Charvel 275 in this case) the OFR was too big/wide for the pull up route.
