In the 80s why did Jackson have the strat AND Dinky body ???

To my eye i have a hard time telling them apart , but from what i gather they were both offered from 85 to 89ish . .....To me im a huge Dinky fan , it just feels and sits sooooo right . They will litterly bury me with my 1988 Bubblegum pink / oiled maple neck USA Dinky !!!!!!

The Dinky is 7/8 the size of a strat body, and has sharper edges
