Ontario production years (1990-02) any difference in quality between serials?

Hi everyone,

I know that the U serials were used on "regular" production USA models, while the Js were used on custom shop models. Other than being made to order/unique specs, does anyone think there's any noticeable amount of quality that the Js had on the Us? I ask because I've played a few U serials from those years, and just wondered if I should try to get my hands on a J or not.
