    Re: KV2X Countdown

well Scott didnt Jackson tell you April? I just go by what the company tells me it will be ready. but every guitar ive ever ordered new from Jackson has always been late. Id have to say we have to wait 3 more months because im on board. I warned ya. im just cursed with new guitars. whats another 3 months? lol. I just hope it doesnt get to 3 months and they say well it will be another couple of weeks. I just want a date that they will be done, no matter how far off. it will give me time to make some money so paying off the rest of it wont be such a bank account killer.

about the custom shop guitars. usually when someone orders a custom shop guitar they have changed the body or something. like inlaysk, amount of picksups, string thru, headstock, or other body altering ideas. these are KV2s just a differen color. they dont have to make the body out of different wood or cut it differently. just have to paint it black with gun metal grey bevels. nothing too fancy. not too sound like a smarta$$ but its been a long weekend and im dead tired.

Sadly, I was told April.. then all of a sudden.. Bull crap occurs and now its delayed.
What upsets me is that am a man of my word and when I'm told info and that its ok to convey it...then to have it all jacked up and stuff, it make me out a liar and that pisses me off!! Hardcore! I hold HONESTY and INTEGRITY in a Very high regard so I have zero tolerance for this kinda of run around.
I understand things happen... but dang, ya know....
Currently, my hands are tied and that's it.
I can only appreciate and thank you for your enduring patience.. It will be worth it!
I apologize for the delays this has caused everyone and can only apologize again and again and again!

          Re: KV2X Countdown

Now really, look at the company we're dealing with. I think EVERYONE that placed an order (not with you, just buying a Jackson) had some sort of delay in the delivery date, but can't really blame em though. I think it was Matt that saw the custom shop and said it's only a few dudes building the custom shops, so shit's gonna happen. I'm personally waiting to see what the guitar looks like before I throw down some $. From the looks of it it's gonna be a great lookin guitar

I hate to hi-jack, but is it just a lack of workforce that's keeping all the axe's delayed so long? Is this a permanent delay that can't be avoided, or only a recent/temporary thing? I can't imagine people would want to put up with such waits for too long...

              Re: KV2X Countdown

I would assume there are other factors besides a lack of guys to build em, but you also don't want "just anybody" to build em either. There's a standard to upkeep, and if it takes a little longer, people will wait for it. I think the Jackson name has been around to where people know enough about what they're getting. That's my view on it anyway

i just hate the run around. Its not your fault Scott. I dont blame the dealers because they really have no control over it. I just wish they would tell you an exact date and it be ready on that date. I mean i dont mind waiting but i dont like getting 3 or 4 different expected delivery dates. I hope Jackson can work things out and get everything running more efficiently. no biggy Scott I knew it was going to be delayed a long time ago.

                  Re: KV2X Countdown

Fairness to all involved... Sometimes Manufacturers are SOL they just don't have the ability to stick to their leadtimes and put out a quality product... Trust me you would rather see the quality over the rushed leadtime. FMIC I am sure was running thier lead time off old production #'s which have increased greatly and really they are quoting blind. Not that this is cool for the end customer or an excuse that is good but it is the truth it just happens when business gets better than expected

i dont want rushed production. id just like a date that i can trust the guitar will be ready. i dont mind the wait just wish they would stick to their guns on dates. if its not going to be ready just say it and give me a date that it will be ready.

                      Re: KV2X Countdown

I totally understand eveeryone wnats reliable dates but I am a Manufactuerers rep and I get stuck in the middle all the time between the Wholesale Distribution and the Manufacturer... Sometimes it is honestly just very difficult to get good lead times out. 3 months is crazy but one of my factories has had something like that where they needed UL approval on one of their parts which has help up the whole thing about 6 months... They literally have stock on the shelf waiting to be shipped but until approvals come through too bad meanwhile UL cares less and my customers kick me in the balls everytime I talk to them.... 3 months is a long way to be off but then again I am selling to a new construction market where one day is almost death the Guitar industry isn't that high pressure.

Hopefully they are inacting something to correct this and they owe customers a better explanation that is for sure

                        Re: KV2X Countdown

i mean they have made thousands of guitars. they should be able to judge, well ya know there aint that much left or there is about a few months left. instead of constantly changing dates. its happened to me numerous times.
