• Does anyone have a SLATQH on order?

Have you gotten word on a delivery date?

I asked Matt to check with Jackson on delivery dates for the next batch of SLATQHs and he has not heard back yet.

Its killing me to see the exact guitar that I have on order for sale on WildWestGuitars.com

Is that to replace the one that got f@#$ ed up in shipping?

Maybe Matt can do a dealer trade or something? I've heard of others doing that. I think your lookin at 4 to 6 months, but I'm just guessing.

Good luck.

Re: Does anyone have a SLATQH on order?

SLATQH Trans Black through Matt was supposed to be ,"expedited", to replace HuntinDougs damaged guitar which ended up being replaced by Easton Guitars. When I called Matt to say I would buy the guitar...THAT WAS ALREADY ON ORDER....there was no deposit required but I offered a $300.00 deposit anyway. Three months went by with no guitar and I called Matt to say that I had decided to pass on the guitar because of the wait and there were some personal financial issues going down with a family member. Matt said he would not return the $300.00 deposit .........I OFFERED!...basically...tough ****...I'll keep your deposit and sell the guitar to somebody else. So...now at SEVEN MONTHS with no guitar and several promised delivery dates...I was told 4-5 weeks ago it was ready to ship from Jackson, I still have no SLATQH and no idea when it will come. I originally bought the guitar because it was already on order and was supposed to be ,"expedited". I could have bought the guitar elsewhere for about $70.00 less but was not able to get the price matched like is claimed all the time. I took the guitar at the $70.00 more than I could have gotten it for because again...IT WAS ALREADY ON ORDER AND WOULD BE EXPEDITED...it has been SEVEN MONTHS....SEVEN! I'm not writing this to bash any of our guys but these are FACTS and I think the situation is a bit screwed up and I think I've been treated a little less than fairly but still I wait.

I also have an SLS on order from elsewhere at a great price and it has also been seven months but that situation is cool with me and I've been treated great.

I expect this to get deleted and I'm certainly not trying to start a war or bash anybody...I'm just telling it like it is.

Yeah, this is the replacement SLATQH. We are right at the 5 month mark, so I thought I would check and see what is up.

Dang, Tooling, sorry to hear about your situation. I had an SLS on order with KE, but I bailed on that one. I canceled after 9 months on order and I still don't think that it has come in.

Is Jackson selling so many USA Selects and Custom Shops that they are that backlogged? Or is it that demand for SLATQHs and SLSs is so low that they only do a batch of each once or twice a year?

Re: Does anyone have a SLATQH on order?

My trans black is at Jackson now being evaluated for the same thing that Dougs was. I hope they just fix it. If not, I'll have to wait forever for a guitar that has already been bought, paid for and delivered. I hate it, but if thats what has to happen, what can I do?

Fritz, I would check (if you haven't already) with Matt to see if he can get that one from WW. The worst that could happen is you can't get that one.

How long till those come in Scott? If they decide that they don't want to fix mine, I'd like to get one of those, but you can't tie one up until I hear from Jackson. I wish they would just check it out and give me an answer!

Man Dude....Sorry to hear this has been so messed up for you. The last time I spoke with Matt (before he got the one from KE for me), he told me Jackson said it would be 4 months. He also said Jackson told him that it was going to "the front of the pack". I think Matt is at the mercy of what Jackson tells him. I can see how frustrating this would be for you. I gotta admit, the deposit thing would would tend to chap my butt too though.

All I can say is it will be worth the wait. Everything I have seen from the Jackson factory (since Fender stepped in) has been top knotch. The SLATQ I have is the best playing Jackson I have ever owned. I can also tell you that Matt put in a good word for me with the folks at Jackson....Whatever that's worth. I told him to tell them to hook me up with a sweet top...Big pillows in the quilt....nice and fluffy. We'll see I guess.

Also, I would request it be packed EXTREMELY WELL. Those G&G cases are not a good fit for the SLATQ's. They can slide fwd where the HS gets jammed into the corner of the case. That's what happened to mine, and one other SLATQ...Both were TBK by the way.

Re: Does anyone have a SLATQH on order?

Hey HD...thanks for the sentiments...I currently have a TabaccoBurst SLATQH and I agree they are killer axes. I'm not a particularly impatient guy but like I said I paid MORE for your replacement because of the situation. By several accounts on this board people have done just fine with Matt and he seems to be a nice guy on the phone...BUT...as a business owner myself...if my supplier can't give me the tooling I need to run a job , I do EVERYTHING I can to accomodate the CUSTOMER which includes the cancellation of the order with a full no questions asked refund of their deposit. I was basically told hey tough luck buddy...that's not cool. I didn't make a huge issue over it because I can afford it, (I was helping my little bro' out of a major jam at the time and it cost me alot so I was trying to cut expenses), and truthfully I want the axe...especially when you consider the recent price increase. I understand that Matt can only promise and relay info. he gets from Jackson and he is at their mercy but I'm looking at the overall picture here...he wouldn't match the best price I could get like he always advertises, he offered zero understanding or willingness to work with me when the deal didn't go as expected, and seven months later I don't have the guitar.<PERIOD I can say this and I'm not trying to brag or be a big man...I have some pretty deep pockets and a thirst for Jackson guitars....I won't buy from Matt again.

Jim, the Natural and Amber Sunburst SLats were orderd a month ago or so.
Im guessing that they wont be in until after the new year.

Again, sorry to hear of all the troubles with dealers and Slats etc.
You guys let me know if I can help..

Thanks Scott. I'll let you know if it goes that way, but I hope it doesn't. My deal with you buying it brand new was flawless and I don't put any of this on you at all. As a matter of fact, you helped me a lot when it came to getting this thing going. I asked the guy I talked to at Jackson about the G&G cases being loose fitting, but he wouldn't hear it. He says it's environmental, humidity or whatever.

Good luck guys.

Thanks for the suggestion, bro. I called Jim at WW and he said that he would definitely be willing to work with Matt. So...I could be getting my SLATQH fairly soon.

Tooling I'm suprised you have not gotten yer SLS yet. I was told they do them in batches. I ordered mine in march as well. I got mine a week ago. I thought you'd have yours by now.

Awesome! I hope it works out for ya. I know the dealers are usually willing to work with each other with stuff like that.
