First off, I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to JimmyB for finding, purchasing, packing, and shipping this guitar to me from Canada. It rules, and I would have had no idea this guitar was available without Jim. Its a new favorite of mine. 1986 one owner Blue Bengal Strat...



A guy I deal with often found this one for me - 100% original and in near mint condition. 1990 Custom Dinky...

That polka dot dinky is awesome - what a cool looking guitar. I guess you already know how I feel about the Bengal. Thanks for the kind words, it was my pleasure.

Cool story with the Bengal. I found it in a local free ad paper from a guy who lived a few hours away from me. He was on the road in the mid 80's and landed at Thoroughbred Music, somewhere in Florida, and saw a Yellow/Black Bengal hanging on the wall. He didn't dig that one so he ordered the one you see here in Blue/Black. He gigged this guitar until just a few months ago when he joined a country band.

I called him up and he told me he wanted $1200 for the thing and we arranged a meeting so I could make a decision. The guitar played and sounded amazing but it just wasn't for me, so I called Brett and he agreed if I could get the guy down to a reasonable price he would take it. Turns out the guy was half retarded and we ended up stealing this guitar. Brett got a great deal on a very cool guitar and I got a few stripper chits from Brett, for my next trip to Houston.

That blue bengal rules!!! I remember when a lucky JCF'er took a chance about 3 years ago on a cheap eBay blue bengal just like that and it turned out to be an original USA guitar. Love those colors for the bengal paint job!
