Is the KE-1 still in production?
Why would someone buy a one pickup equipped guitar instead of a 2 pickup equipped guitar?
Just because of Marty's name?
The KE-1 hasn't been in production for awhile. It also has the fixed Kahler bridge, as compared to the Floyd on the KE-2. I would actually prefer the one pup version, as I love the simplicity of one volume control and one pup.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
There are a few KE1's out there with the Floyd Joe. Very Few. Personally I prefer one hum to two. I use only the bridge hum for all my overdrive stuff. I use the neck pickup for clean tones only to help make it a bit more acoustic and thick sounding but I could do without one.
We must!
We must!
We must increase the bust!
The bigger the better!
The tighter the sweater!
The boys are counting on us!
Oh yeah, you're right, Chris. Some of the MF (Musician's Friend) models came with gold Floyds. There were some other weird models that had black Floyds, but I think they were all kind of rare compared to the Kahler. Speaking strictly for the Marty signature models, they only had the fixed Kahler.
