I was searching around on the web and came across this picture. It seems to be a Y2KV with a pointy headstock, kahler bridge and LSR locking tuners.
Anyone every seen this before?
looks like a KingV to me. If you boost the brightness and contrast in the pic, it looks like the points of the body are sinking into the backing cloth, which makes them look a little rounded. Still nowhere near as rounded as a Y2KV though
That white mark on the tip, is that a Custom Shop logo? I think it's an older KingV, or a Custom Shop job with the "crotch" of the V lowered away from the bridge. It's not a Y2KV, either way
You can see the angles are all wrong. And the crotch of the sits even closer the bridge pickup, you couldn't fit a Kahler in there
Actually that appears to be a snub-nosed King V - maybe the Y2KV prototype? Maybe Dave cracked the tips off and had someone round them a bit, thus leading to the Y2KV?

I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
it's not as pointy as any regular pointy Jackson headstock. The binding doesn't look uniform around the tip either, so I think that is the result of an impact to the tip, not by design. Newc suggested that Dave cracked the tips, it's also just as likely that he cracked the headstock too
this is one of the Y2KV prototypes!
search the web again and you'll find all the infos about the evolution of the Y2KV
Robbin Crosby had a V like that with pointy headstock long before Dave Mustaine ever did! So did Charlie Benante of Anthrax!
