A guy up there is selling a true Dimas-plated Jackson Custom (SN 1494). It appears to be on an Ontario guitar (judging from the cavity route) so I don't think it's in original condition (but could be wrong -- could be one of those transitional pieces). It has a busted neck that the seller claims is repairable... scarf joint detached, but apparently it's quite clean. He agreed to selling it along with another functional neck (not sure of the specs on the extra neck) for $275, but then I realized how damn far San Rafael is from me. If anyone in the area wants it, PM me and I'll hook you up.
If you buy it and then decide you don't want it, I'll buy it off you (if you can ship or get it anywhere near the South bay). I really want that plate to restore my '86 Custom... can even swap an Ontario plate for it + cash if you still want the guitar but want to make it period correct.
