There are pros and cons with scalloped necks.
If you play a lot of lead, it makes bending and natural vibrato much easier because your fingertips are not touching the fretboard.
The bad thing, if you play rythm and you clench or press the strings hard, some notes will go sharper than others, and you will sound out of tune.
