I ordered my Rhoads with a 1 5/8 nut. Since they were custom, I'm sure that was one of the things you could specify back then as well.

yeah the only reason i actually measured them both is they felt very different. i know my 86 w/1 3/4" nut was custom ordered since i bought it from the original owner & spoke to him a few times about the guitar. but he didnt say anything about ordering a specific neck size just that it took 8-9 months because he ordered a custom color.
