I feel in love with a SL2H but it doesn't play like my Rhoads pro...the pro has such great tone and sustain. Oh well...I'm stuck in "should I buy a SL2H or not" mode...Is one guitar enough when you really need a Classical to ad to the arsonal...don't mind me...just confused.

There can be only one! uhhh... or 2...or 3.... or 12.... It's addicting!!! SL2H's are awesome guitars!!! If you like it, get it. If you don't, then get it anyway and you'll learn to love it or you'll sell it to me cheap!

The SL2H is a great guitar. I personally prefer them to any USA Jackson model.

I've had a soloist pro, and it had a thinner neck by a little bit, than a USA, but the SL2Hs I've played are great!

I've got one, trans black and it's my work horse. the neck is chunkier than any of my bolt ons it's a 2001 but it's my most versatile guitar and once I'm warmed up on it It's my best player. buy it, BUY IT,BUY IT. they're great guitars

No, no, no.... No negatives about SL2H's I am about to buy one and am already scared after hearing people say the new USA's don't compare to the old USA Soloists.

I am plugging my ears now

Thanks dude
I'm trying to get my Rhoads pro uploaded. I found a pic of it and scanned it in but I'm not sure how to attach the URL to this site..
Hey Scott..one other thing.
I'm not having any problem finding SL2H in either the trans black or violin brown for $1,299. I thought that woud be a great price..but it's not such a great price huh?
I've played a few of those today at guitar center, even a Bangal one which was cool...but I'll tell ya...nothing plays like my Rhoads...it's the finest electric guitar I've ever played to date.

Re: SL2H

o.k.
here's the story.
I was back east for thanksgiving, walked into this music store in the middle of nowhere...thought "yeah, right they'll have guitars here...sure" and damn if they didn't have a brand new 2004 Jackson SL2H trans black guitar there..it played great and I've played a few here in LA at guitar center. No one has the buying power guitar center does and they're hard pressed to match the $1,299 out the door rate I was offered from the little music store that could in the middle of no where.
Mind you, I wasn't walking the earth thinking I needed another jackson. If anything I need a new classical guitar..but damn, I guess if it's half your savings - is it worth buying? who knows...the saga continues - will I buy it from the little music store in the middle of no where, will I buy the violin brown one at the local guitar center, or will I just save for the new G5, the Digi 002, and keep what I got to make more music?
stay tuned...

In2,

I'm Ron, not Scott.
Could it be you are just use to your RR..... I was the same way every time I checked out a new axe that I passed on many a good deals. Finally I broke down and bought another Jackson. Now the least played is the one I swore nothing would top. Sometimes it is just being firmiliar as opposed to being better. You may just have to take the plunge. You wont regret it. 1299 on an SL2H is a phenomenal price BTW

If you love your Rhoads pro, why not to get an import Soloist then?
Maybe you will find one for $500-600 on E-bay instead of spending much more.
And what do you mean by your Rhoads pro plays better?
The sound or the shape?
