SLATQH Owners.....in please

I'm trying to determine the serial number system on these guitars as in is it sequential or what. Share your S/N and production date if you don't mind.

Mine are

Tabacco Burst built 07/03 with s/n JAO 310

Trans Black built 07/04 with s/n JAO 370...I JUST got this guitar 4 months after the build date (although it could be the date it was assigned a serial number pre-production. But as you know the tags are initialed throughout the process and one would think it is dated upon completion...'dunno.

The one I sent back was JA0384 Trans black. It was that last one in stock at Jackson as of 6/7/04. Since I sent it back I don't know the exact build date other than it was in march or april 04.

I should have my Tobacco Sunburst SLATQH next week, so I'll post the serial # then.

Yes, the serial numbers are given to guitars in a sequential order. Completion dates are stamped on the hangtag. You would either need a work order or a build sheet to find out when the guitar was ordered, or when production actually started to find out the other info.

Actually I think there are SLATQM and SLATQH.
Humbuckers and mini hums.
Also there was SLAT90 which came with P90s.

Thank you dinkyjacksonman. It must be a SLATQM. #JA0190. It is "fine craftsmanship". Pirana tooth. Blue quilt. It is the only "tooth" shaped guitar that really cranks my cranker.

The finest electric guitar I have ever touched. The Duncan JB never really impressed me in other guitars, but it's very warm and clear in this one. Still, I swapped them out for DiMarzio PAF Joe and Norton. And the color! Violin brown is truly beautiful... Well, I could go on... [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

The JB is my pickup of choice too. I ordered a SD Custom to check out...we'll see. How about some pics of that VB SLATQH and I agree definately a fine instrument.

xeno....you got a few SLATQ's huh..easily my favorite guitar of all...I mean ALL guitars, Gibsons ets.
