Re: Limited Run USA 24 Fret Rhoads

If it has 24 frets and a recessed floyd and costs $2000 or less, I will most likely buy it. I don't care what it looks like at all and I don't care what pickups it has.

The reasoning: Even if I choose to change the pickups and get a new custom paint job, it will still cost less than a CS order.

I see your point. All you would need is 24 fret Rhoads with any of the options in this thread, and all 10 or 12 will be spoken for. Now, Lets see if Jackson will let this happen...

I'm amazed at how fanatical people are about trying to get a 24 fret Rhoads. I've been following the LE#2 thread and putting my opinion in because I'm considering a RR model. One of the sticking points is getting 24 frets on a Rhoads. Now I find this thread and I see thetroy say he would pay $2000 for a guitar that he doesn't care what it looks like at all or even what pups it has, as long as it's a 24 fret Rhoads??? The RR is a 22 fret guitar, if you want a 24 fret V, get a King V!! Could someone please explain the obsession with a 24 fret Rhoads?

I want basically the same.

Black RR with gold hardware, black ebony and sharkies. Inlaid logo (all inlays Abalone IF cost effective, like said)

I'd prefer a:

One Hum (bridge) EMG 81 or 89 RR, though.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

King V and Rhoads feel differently since V shape guitar will look big on many people.
I look like shit with my KV1 and lower horn hitting my right leg
Plus Rhoads shape is a flagship of Jackson.
So it is probably more popular than KV.
And 24fret, why not?
If all other models can have 24fret, why not on Rhoads?
Many import Rhoads I have seen have 24fret , so why not with U.S. made Rhoads especially this is for limited edition.
We are not talking about making 500 of these.
So I'd say if there would be 10-12 happy buyers, who cares the rest?
Just be happy with what you have or what you will.
That's all it matters.

I like the shape, I play at the 24th fret, I trust that any finish people here will agree on will not be too ugly, and I will change pickups multiple times anyway. That's why!

No offense taken dude, just thought I'd answer ya. You'll find that it's nearly impossible to get me angry, especially on the internet where it's a complete waste of time! Besides I'm excited, tomorrow's my birthday (anyone want to make the down payment for me as a gift? )

They will do a custom body shape for a limited run? I seriously doubt it.

If they will, anybody in for a Demon

But a 24 fret rhoads would be sweet. Preferably with a Floyd, but as long as it has a bridge humbucker I´m open for suggestions.

IF Jackson will let it happen

A demon will be my next custom order... I really don't think they'll do a Demon or VVV for a limited... Tim says they will... *shrug* Guess we have to wait for Matt to find out.
