• Re: Limited Run USA 24 Fret Rhoads

Matt is trying to do this close as the regular select series price.
If so, it will stay under 2K...

Now that would be cool... I want to hear a more definite dollar amount though...

I don't see why Jackson hasn't decided to build a 24 fret USA Rhoads. They'd probably sell a lot of them.

They have decided to. RR24 was supposed to be unveiled at Winter NAMM 04 but was delayed (for paint issues IIRC).

Yes, but wasn't that thing not only an import, but also an artist model? For that guy from Super Joint Ritual?

It was delayed for a year because of paint issues?

Well, this was a year ago; maybe I can't recall the specific reason. IIRC I was talking to John Walker about this, it's supposed to be an import, a version of the RR5. They teased us with a rendering of a possible bound version one on the bumper sticker that came in every 2003 Jackson catalog.

EDIT: I found the original thread, yup, paint issues!

Well, I'm still waiting for some concrete answers from the JC custom shop guys. My apologies, they're usually much faster than this in responding to my questions.

Hopefully I can post some info regarding the 24 fret/USA Select pricing concerns in this post tomorrow. Hang in there!

Unless matt is a magician, theres no way a 24 fret Rhoads
1 hum will come out as Usa select pricing.
Sorry to burst the bubble here guys. But Myself and KE have tried that a few times this year already.
So i dont need to wait on the Custom Shop to answer this for you guys....

On a lighter note, I have been commissioned by a forum member here to do a Custom Shop Run of 24 fret Rhoads as well.
If this run gets off the ground, it will be similar to the Laiho model and Im thinking it will fall just slightly under CS pricing. Dont want to get into too many details in this thread tho.

Just went back and re-read a few posts in this thread and realized I made an error. On the Road Hazard Yellow Rhoads it does not have the custom shop logo. It has a matching yellow headstock, sorry about that. Thinking and typing too fast.
The rest of the specs were as described in my post.

Don't lose faith on the RR24 just yet, I'm expecting additional information on this topic to come through the pipeline on Monday. For those that are interested in this guitar, cross your fingers and pray to whoever you pray to!

Not to take this thread in a newdirection but wouldn't a Laiho model suit most of the needs of people on this forum who are interested? At least a good starting point?
