I am sure even if Matt can not confirm enough buyers here, he should be able to sell these on his website too.

Given the demand for a 24-fret Rhoads, I would have to agree with you. He could probably order a hundred of them and sell all one hundred of the rather quickly if the word got out and people from message boards like Bodom's were linked to his website. I might be exaggerating with the 100 but still.

Wonder if they'll get anything "special" to set them apart from when the real USA Select RR24 comes in. Custom Shop logo on the headstock? Special serial number? Certificate Of Authenticity? Different hangtags? I guess nothing will be different about the hardshell case since a 24-fret RR is the exact same size as the regular Rhoads since the two extra frets don't shift the body over... Yes, a solid color is always the least expensive. Solid black is probably the color of choice then?

So... how many are into a black, 24 fret RR1? Pricing will be a little more than Select pricing, but less than CS pricing. A Select RR1 has a suggested list price of $2599.00 and a CS has a price of about $3600.00.

I like black with white bevels, those mock ups look good. As far as the pickguard goes, it really doesn't matter to me as I like both and the two guitars above look very similar. For pickups, I vote for passives.
Depending on price (Matt's layaway plan makes it hard to resist)I'm in

I think to make it special, of course there should be certificates by Jackson with numbers.
Also limited # on the back of the headstock would be nice.
Best of all, even there would be a production RR24, it will not be ready before this limited run.
And this run will be prepro RR24.

Matt, do you think you could contact Jackson rep and find out exact cost of one in Solid Black?
Let's say if you do 12guitars.

I think what we really need is the price since it seems that Jackson is able to do it.

Wow, that does look awesome.

FYI - The Select RR1 black/white bevels has a suggested list price of $2899.00 and a CS with the same finish has an approximate list of $3900.00

So..... that would end up being an extra $500+ for just 2 more frets.

Yeah, definitely PM me with the exact price of a solid black one when you find out. I might be interested but it always boils down to the price. Guess the pickups are JB/Jazz like the regular USA Select RR1, but it doesn't really matter when I can put my own EMG-89s with EMG circuits, or perhaps APCs, into it.

Hmmmm, $300 more for white bevels...

Yes, an exact price would be nice. You guys should be able to get a feel for pricing with the list prices I put in my last few posts but I'll have this nailed down for you in the next day or two.

So, $300 more just for the White Bevels?
Then I would say Solid Black would be just fine for me....

I think the black with white bevels looks so much nicer than plain black. It has enough black to please the plain types and at the same time the white bevels hold the interest of graphic types like myself without going overboard.

If we go with Bevels, then we will have to go with Duncans to stay lower.
Distortion and Jazz maybe?

I would love to go with Black with White Bevels.
If we chose to go with EMGs, I am sure that is an upcharge.

Xeno, about paying...

Isn't there the cost of the pickup?

I didn't realize I didn't put that in (I'm not buying a guitar, then paying for the pickup, then routing it) I didn't realize it was just, I'm not paying to rout it. I think somewhere I may have even put it in there in one of my 20000000 posts about pickup cost.

Maybe I should type a little bit bigger, so I can read what I'm saying.

Again, I own a tech shop, routing a guitar is not a problem for me, I don't feel like dumping a shit load of money on a guitar, routing it, and paying for a pickup (is that better, that I've spelled out every step, and you don't have to use the context, even if my dumbass forgets something?)

And also, you've failed to address me on the fact I'm right, we wouldn't want to trust everyone here with a router to their new Rhoads.

Matt, I'm interested in a USA 24 fret Rhoads. I'm also interested in making it stand out from a Standard USA RR1, however I'm against buying a guitar that's already going to be expensive, and making it even more expensive for white bevels.

I saw someone else say that also (if it's 300$ more for bevels, Black would be just fine.) So if that helps. I'm up for it all, but I (and I'm sure a few board members will agree) would like to keep it affordable as possible.

That said, if I read correctly, the RR24 fret was approved, we just need to know cost? So that said,

Everyone who is interested in a 24 fret Rhoads, Pickups, Pickguard, Finish et cetera TBA, for above USA Select and Below Custom Shop Pricing, Post if you're in or not. That way we have an accurate count of what's going on.

Thanks a million from myself, and I'm sure the other JCFers for doing this Matt.

I just whipped up two mockups of black with white bevels. Actually, I like it a lot. It really matches the white binding. Here they are, with and without pickguard. Everything is the same as the regular RR1 except the two added frets and moved over last frets. Ignore the 24th fret sharkfin as usual since they're not there on the real thing. Matt, have you decided on which pickups to put in it?
