Re: How about a 1 hum 1 single Soloist?

If the CS logo makes a difference then I can live without it. Meaning if they say it can't be a limited with that logo on there than leave it off.

I am a tenative yes. Depends on the cash. Only one way to get a price.... Call it in and see what happens...

      Chuck, 25 1/4 scale or 24 3/4?
Either way, put me down for tentative yay.

Swamp Ash with Maple neck thru and clear finish????
That would look bit strange and how about the balance between the headstock and body?
I hope the headstock doesn't go lower when using a strap..

It will be fine. I am sure they will use medium weight wood as the ultra light stuff is reserved.

Why would it look strange? Ash is a light colored, very figured wood. Maple is a light colored not as figured wood.
              It will look great!
Swamp ash isn't THAT light in weight!

              25.5" scale, BTW.

Wouldn't it be nice if it had a figured maple top?

DJM - I have a custom along these lines. Birdseye maple NT with swamp ash body sides. No troubles at all with balance. Awesome tone, too.

Opinions on that clear finish are subjective, however. (Mine's a graphic.)

My Carvin is swamp ash with maple neck-thru. Nice and light, toneful guitar with no balance issues whatsoever.

The specs Chuck posted reminds me of his old CS Dinky excepts that one had maple top and few small details are different.

I wouldn't want a maple top. Been there, done that.

Actually, he had another sweet Dinky that was natural swamp ash, IIRC. I don't recall the pup combination, though.

                              Is that right Joe?

I guess with Chuck's fast gear tradings, it is so hard to remember which one..

LOL Can't keep track of what he's got now.
I remember a natural one that was very nice, natural body with maple board and no inlays. I believe he sold it to someone else here.
