Re: How about a 1 hum 1 single Soloist?

Nah, no "furniture" tops, no "Boomer-Bursts" for this one.

We could do 1 11/16" nut, no sweat on my end. I think you'll find 1 5/8" easier to handle with the fat (ish) neck, though. But...whatever.

We're just kickin tires at this stage of the game. I'm waiting to hear what kind of price we are talking here before getting too excited about it.

I never should have sold that Dinky...

I wish I had pics somewhere.. I am sure Chuck has some.

Yeah, had the weird input jack like the Ibanez Sabres. Some Jackson Stealths had them, too. I kinda liked the way those jacks looked.

I'm 6'7", bro. My ideal neck is a Gibson '50s carve w/ 1 3/4" nut. Besides, if everyone can play the average Les Paul neck, they shouldn't have a problem with 1 11/16" on this profile, since it's actually going to be a bit smaller. We're not talking full-on baseball bat, right?

and it looked weird because the body was oil finished but the headstock front had shiny clear coat which made me not to buy the guitar.

No, just this side of a Louisville Slugger...

1 11/16 will probably be in favor with more folks. I'm trying to find a nice balance between what I want and what the majority wants. When in doubt, I will err on the side of what I want, but it will takes numbers to get this off the ground. It's a delicate balance.

OK, we need a head count. How many are down with this? I need a realistic headcount for a dealer to decide if we should do this.

Specs are:

22 fret Soloist Tune-o-Matic String Thru
Maple neck-thru with Swamp Ash body wings
Ebony and MOP Sharks
Black Headstock w/ Old School Jackson Decal Logo
Custom Shop sticker on headstock
1 5/8" nut
6100 frets
Thick neck (not LP thick, but close)
Oiled neck
1 Duncan Custom, 1 Duncan Lil 59
1 Vol, three way blade switch
Small SD Cavity
Black Hardware
Clear Finish on Body

I think that's it...

Gimme a tentative Yay or a Nay...I have no clue what this will cost, but we will find out.

Forgot the binding, or?

Make the Nut 1 11/16" and I´m in, depending on price and when the DP is due

24 frets, no custom shop sticker and chrome hardware are all not deal breakers for me, though

Forgot to list it. Regular Soloist binding on the neck and headstock.

22 frets and 1 5/8" are not really up my alley. I'll keep an eye on the thread to see what happens as far as changes go. I'll get back to you then.
