      A simple 1hum soloist.
I hope Jackson would let this happens.
If so, it will open up for many choices such as WR 1hum, RR 1hum, KV 1hum and so on.

This is an ideal piece for me, especially with a big neck. Get me a quote.

I like the string thru idea better personally. Ash is cool. The p/u 's are fine. 3 way blade or 3 way toggle.... Either is cool. Fatter neck? YES!!! That is a must for me to do it. Thicker not wider. I am not talking huge but my Explorer has a thicker neck and I love it. I like the older SD soloists necks better than the newer. They were just a bit thicker and rounder. Even the Model series Charvel neckshape is close to those. I love those necks. Color: How about a sparkle? The Gretsch Orange made me think of the sparkley Gretsch's ... The orange would be cool with black hardware too. Sparkle finish - Maybe just the front? Back could be black? Black HS - Old school logo is great. Not the newer pearl looking kind. Older logo has so much more class IMO... I love reverse headstocks too but I could/would go either way with that... Cost would be a factor for most of us so some of the options would either make it or break it price wise.. Binding over the frets is great but it would be pricey...

Ok, Chuck I'm cool with these aspects: frets, p/u's, ash, string thru, either switch, thicker neck(YAY!!).

Color is not really a deal breaker assuming it's not butt ugly. 1 5/8" nut would be perfect, but most don't dig that - so I'm loose on the nut. Sharkies, dots, ebony, rosewood or maple...whatever.

            Count me as +1, guys.

How about a natural finish w/matching head, maple board with black sharks?

No, it's gonna be Ebony and MOP Sharks.
I would prefer a clear/natural finish on the body with the black face, but I'll bet nobody else would go for that.

That is fine with me. Clear with the black face. Would they upcharge us because they would have to use better wood?

+1 on the clear with black face.

That sounds like a cool color combo.

                        Well...cool!
Should look great with the swamp ash wings.

OK, we need a head count. How many are down with this? I need a realistic headcount for a dealer to decide if we should do this.

                          Specs are:

22 fret Soloist Tune-o-Matic String Thru
Maple neck-thru with Swamp Ash body wings
                          Ebony and MOP Sharks
Black Headstock w/ Old School Jackson Decal Logo
                          Custom Shop sticker on headstock
                          1 5/8" nut
                          6100 frets
Thick neck (not LP thick, but close)
                          Oiled neck
                          1 Duncan Custom, 1 Duncan Lil 59
1 Vol, three way blade switch
                          Small SD Cavity
                          Black Hardware
                          Clear Finish on Body

                          I think that's it...

Gimme a tentative Yay or a Nay...I have no clue what this will cost, but we will find out.

Go ahead and get a estimate. You have a couple of things they may not allow, so you may have to refine the list.

22 frets, the Custom Shop sticker and the neck carve. Meaning they may not do it without going full Custom Shop.
