Nice axe! I really like Black Cherry. I agree that Scott is a good guy too. If I were getting a new Jackson (I wish), I'd buy from him in a heartbeat.

Actually, Kragen's axe is the one that inspired me to get the DCR SL1. There was a used DCR SL1 at my local shop and I loved it but didn't have the cash at the time. I stumbled upon the Prototype website about a year later and when I saw his guitar it was like lightning struck. At the same time it really inspired me to get a seven string so I compared Soloists to an Ibanez Universe and went with the Universe at the time.

Unfortunately, my hand and the Universe neck did not get along after an hour or so of playing. I warmed up right, made sure my hands were good, but they still would hurt like Hell after an hour or so of playing. I bummed my friend's Soloist for a weekend and played it for hours both days with no problems. I also rented an LTD Carpenter 7 from my shop and the same thing. So, the neck of the Universe was at the root.

So I sold the Universe and ordered the Soloist. I then came it to some extra cash and went ahead with the SL2H since I dig humbuckers in the neck for leads. Plus, it was very hard for me to choose between Deep Candy Red and Black Cherry so I figured, "Why not have both?".[img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Now, I'm pretty sure, though not completely, that I'm going to start saving for my Custom Shop 7 string. It'll be a lot like Kragen's but with a regular headstock, Sharkfins, Floyd Rose 7 bridge, and an 81-7 in the bridge with a 707 in the neck.

Sorry for getting caught up in my Guitar Life Story. I just really want my axe bad.

Wouldn't it be "it's" since the way is that of the guitar or can I not place possession upon an inanimate object? And no I'm not being a dick or anything. I like to have the best spelling and grammar possible. Makes me feel good. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

"it's" is the one instance where the apostrophe doesn't denote possession, but is used solely as a contraction. The possessive is "its".

It's always its because "it's" is always the contraction for "it is" ! (You might have an argument if the object's name was "it")

WOW! that 7string guitar is a BADASS MF!
Maybe the Inlays are too much for my taste though.
The color looks great in these pics as well.Is that in Black Cherry too??
There are only 2 CS guitars I would love to order and 7string is one of them.

Kragen's 7 string is Deep Candy Red. It's a killer axe and like I said, inspired the axes I'm getting and thinking of getting now. Thanks for the words guys and thanks again to dinkyjacksonman for posting the pics.
