Great axe and the only lacewood Soloist I've seen. I've wanted a lacewood guitar for years but had never found the right one.
This one just kills but there's one thing I'd have done differently: I'd have spec'd a natural finish or very light transparent color for the body as the color in the stain really covers up the grain. Compare my pics above to Brooks' lacewood PC-1:
*That* is how a lacewood guitar should look. This one's very good, that one's great. So if any of you are tempted to pony up for a custom shop lacwood in the future, choose your finish color carefully.
