I can't find one of these to try. How do those soapbar-style pickups compare the the standard SLATQ humbuckers? I imagine the soapbars have more bite and are more noisy.

The Stacked Single Coil P-90 pickups are some of Duncan's best work. I've owned a SLAT with the P-90's and the guitar sounded very nice on clean settings and set the place on fire when played with the gain above 8 on the Marshall Combo. The noise is really minimal as the pickups are hum cancelling. I would say I almost like them better than the minibuckers....almost. [img]graemlins/images/icons/tongue.gif[/img] -

The ones I tried sounded really nice. I cringed when I first saw um thinking they were gonna suck, but proof is in the tone and they crunch real nice.
