Here's my black pearl. I freakin' love this guitar.

Jackson needs to make a soloist with the same specs as a Y2KV, mahogany body and neck with a string thru bridge, it sounds so much sweeter than alder. By the way, was black pearl the most common color made because 4 out of 5 Y2KV's I see on ebay are this color?

this is my Y2KV, i just changed the bezels. I dont understand why they didnt just make them with chrome one's since every other transparent finish has them.i think they look alot better then black.

Poisongodmachine, how do EMGs sound in your Y2? mine is stock and I havent heard much about EMGs in a Y2. thanks

there very cool, i love mine. but to answer your question about the emg's it really depends on on the amp, it sounds amazing with with my 5150 better then any other guitar ive played, but with my engl blackmore they sound like ass its very strange, i love the guitar none the less, it turns the 5150 into one Tightass Gain machine, mega chug, mega sustain , especially when that monster is tuned down, have to love them Y2KV's ... it was also my first jackson and USA i bought.

same here. my Y2 was my first USA Jackson and most expensive, till now. So EMGs dont sound good with Engls? uh oh, I just ordered a Fireball and all my guitars got EMGs. Even with the stock pickups i noticed the Y2 had a really heavy sound to it, could tell it was mahogany. its hard to explain but even compared to my guitars with EMGs you could tell it was more of a beast.

ya the Y2KV is a beast, the wings are about the same length as the big wing on My RR1, wich makes it a monster of a guitar, but i wouldnt worry about your emgs dude, dimmu borgir uses emgs and Powerballs live and they sound tight as shit, im just saying that with the blackmore passive pickups sound better, but who knows it might just be my cab im usuing a Carvin legacy ,,but with a modification i made In High school welding [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] it doesnt sound that great but damn it looks sweet, check this shit out
