I have a couple of SLATQH's and while they are basically the perfect guitar IMHO....I would really like two volume and two tone pots...has anybody done this,"mod", to there guitar and how did it turn out? Maybe some pics? I know I would want them below the existing pots because as others have complained the volume on the SL2H is in an awful location...unless your really into volume swells that is...but I aint! A little off topic but the only other change I would make to an SLATQH is a 24 3/4" scale...3/4" + two pots hardly justifies custom shop don't you think.

Re: More volume, more tone
You're trying to make a Les Paul out of your SLATQHs?
You could do the concentric pot thing... volume/tone knob and then another volume/tone knob, I THINK. This would definitely solve your problem... provided that volume/tone concentric controls actually exist and aren't a figment of a Newcensteining NOTP imagination... I've never heard of concentric pots....tell me more
As far as trying to turn my SLATQH's into a Les Paul....naaaah...that's what my GoldTop is for
That vol/tone config. really opens a guitar up to cool sounds that's all

Re: More volume, more tone
A concentric pot is two controls in one knob position. One control is stacked on top of another control. Here's an example. Look at the bottom knob on my brother's new bass below. It's the EMG-VMC Variable Mid Control, a dual EQ control in one knob position. I forget which does which, but one of the knobs controls mid cut and the other controls mid boost.
See, one knob stacked on top of the other.
But I am not sure knobs like that exist for passive volume/tone controls...

Oh, frickin' SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! Looks like I wasn't imagining them after all... Carry on...
Hmmm... maybe time to get some for my Shannon...

Re: More volume, more tone
i've always found them troublesome in live situations. but thats just me. i had my Rhoads Pro rewiried to just have the front volume and the pup selector active. i guess i just have a harder time going for the bridge vol (which i use pretty much most of the time) for fast vol outs when its not located up in front of the bridge.
