Dude, you already have. Believe me, as much as I love this place, it would not affect me in any way whatsoever if you permanently banned me from this forum!!! By the way Jeremy, you need to add the posts from the old forum. I believe that would make it NEWC-9000 posts, WORD-4000 posts. I have nothing against NEWC, as the majority of his posts are quite knowlegable, but WORD is a kid, and some immaturity is to be expected. There are older members here who say MUCH more ignorant things than WORD, and they are not chastised NEARLY as much as he.

I remember this discussion from the old board when my post count was on the rise - seems no one said anything to me till my post count surpassed that of the Admins and several "old timers" who had been with the group since Day 1.

Anyway, I'll ask this question and put out a slice of personal opinion about Internet Message boards and online communities:

Do you want people to participate in the forum? Yes, you do. Are there going to be limits imposed on who can reply to a post? No, there won't. Are the Admins going to review each new post and decide by majority vote which member gets to reply to it? I'd like to see that happen - NOT!
Now look, this type of online community is very simple to relate to:
It's a room full of people carrying on multiple conversations at once, and we are all mingling about the room, stepping into conversations that catch our ear.
Now, explain to me exactly how Word's post was wrong? Isn't this community involvement? It's Traffic Control. The majority of us here understand that Adminning this place is work enough without worrying about Traffic Control, so the Community helps out, but if your post count exceeds a certain number you're ineligible?

This is not my board, I don't make policy, but I sure as hell would like a straight sensible explanation when I ask for one instead of attitude.

I understand that it can get annoying to see the same names over and over as the first response to a new post, but do you know WHY that is annoying? Because you see that and think - 'hey, this guy's a kid that doesn't have a job and he can hang out here all day and catch new posts and goof off but I'm stuck at work and hafta sneak in when the boss ain't around or wait till I get home'. Jealousy is why it's annoying. Yeah I wish I had 24/7/365 to do nothing but hang out online, but I ain't bagging on someone else for doing it.

2 things come to mind when someone follows every thread and senselessly posts just to post

1) It's just downright annoying ...
2) Increased bandwidth cost money ...

Now I'm more concerned about about the 2nd issue .. So ..We are working to do free giveaways and such .. would you rather have free giveaways or pay that money to the server because of wasted bandwidth?...This was part of the reason that the EzBoard went bust.. the bandwidth ended up driving the cost to over $1200 a year....

BTW Lemme point out .. if this post was such an issue of being in the wrong forum all he had to do was email or i.m. an admin and we would move it if we felt it was here unjust instead of making unprovoked comments ..
