• XTRR opinions

I was looking for a new Jackson and came across the xtrr.
I'm looking for opinions like neck feel and size ( is like a soloist ??)
How does it balance when worn ?? ( it looks real small almost top heavy )
How rare are they ??

Thanks from a new board member !!!!!

Re: XTRR opinions

The playability is excellent.

It is the exact same specs as a RR1 only the body is 7/8th the size.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I think the body "looks" small. I sort of like it and sort of don't. It depends on the graphic. If its a cool graphic like a bengal. Nice!

Re: XTRR opinions

7/8 is right Rockpro. The balance is perfect no nose diving at all.

Most have a oiled neck and feel a bit thinner than a Soloist. Mine has a fairly flat contour.

I think someone said less than 100 production XTRR's. I'm not sure about that but, I do know mine came first!

Re: XTRR opinions

I still think that saying it's 7/8 is misleading. We've already established that the XTRR body has different proportions and a different look from the regular RR.

Yes, where is that informative post?

Me, I think the XTRR is too small.

Click on my name to see how small even a regular Rhoads looks on me!

The first post, with all the XTRR pics and my little photoshop manipulation is here: http://www.jcfonline.com/ubb/noncgi/...c;f=2;t=000291

The second post, in which Joel brought out the hard numbers and put all the facts in place, is here: http://www.jcfonline.com/ubb/noncgi/...c;f=2;t=000300

Me, I think the XTRR is too small.

There has got to be a more recent XTRR thread than this. I'm not sure if they are or not.

Right. They're more expensive than anything close on the price sheet (KVs / RRs etc), but they are available...
