I agree with Joe! I've never had a problem with the volume control on Jacksons. As a matter of fact, I like it there. I fan my fingers out like George Lynch and they clear the top of the knob. Plus, I also like doing violin-like swells with the knob once in awhile. Sometimes I keep my fingers in a little more and anchor my pinky on the pickup or even the knob itself. Even when strumming, I keep my hand to minimum movement (using just the wrist and not so much moving of my forearm) and don't need to strum like a madman and have my hand wildly moving all over the place.
