    Collen Archtops

    How many serialized american PC Archtops are there in existance? I figure there are two series- The PCXXXX and the PCSXXXX? I was just wondering, since I´m about to pick one up.

    brooks burton might be the peson to ask...his guitar site is collenguitarworld.com, but i heard he got hacked recently...maybe someone here can tell you how to get ahold of him...d.m.

                  Ok here we go.

                  The typical USA serial number for those are PCXXXX. However, Jackson made a few with a PCS serial number (Players Choice Series). I know of 3 PCSXXXX Phil Collen archtops: My green quilt top, Dave Amatos old white one, and the Def Leppard graphic one. There may be more though. Those numbers are not included in the PC#'s. I have PCS0157, and there are only 72 archtops so far, or about that....

                  I dont know if you have to ask for it, or if Jackson just makes the call. When I got my green PC, I figured it would be in line with the others, about #71. But when I got it was a PCS #.
