• Tie Die Soloist

I'm looking for a tie-die Soloist to add to my collection. It seems to me all the tie-die Soloists I see are from late 80's to early 90's.

They all have those crappy Jackson pups and JT-5 tremolo. Has anyone seen a current SL-1 version with Duncans and a real Floyd?

If I have to "settle" for one of these older models, what is fair market value?

Anyone have one for sale?

Re: Tie Die Soloist

I've only seen one TD Soloist, and it was an older 90's model.
The rest I've seen were Fusions.

I was working a deal with a guy who wanted to trade me an RR1 for my TD Fusion (Pete's old one) but I haven't heard from him. He lives near Kansas City - where those recent tornadoes hit. Don't know if he got hit or what, but there's no way I'm shipping the Fusion till I hear from him.

If he's not available, would you be interested in the Fusion?

Chuck: you won't have to "settle" for an early 90's Soloist, bro! Don't dig the pickups? Change 'em out. What's not to like about the Schaller trem? There is absolutely no tonal difference between it and the Floyd Rose.

Matt: did the guy already trade or pay for the Fusion? I hope he's ok, wow, that would really suck...

I just got an email from him (Mike Borylo - can't remmeber his JCF name) - said he's been out of town this week. I was afraid he'd been tornadoed - didn't wanna ship to a house that ain't there
Anyhoo, looks like I'll be shipping the Fusion to him - sorry Chuck.

Here's one on Gbase going for way too much, but maybe you can haggle the guy?
