  • Non-floating trem on RR1

    Hey folks,
Awhile back I had what I believed to be an 80-something/early 90s RR1. It had a JT trem, but it wasn't a floating trem...sat on the body, which I liked. Are all the new RR1s made with a floating trem?
    Also...
It had the smaller frets, not the jumbos.

The new ones all have recessed, floating OFR's

Technically, the JT6 is a floating trem. I guess you could lower it to be flat on the body, but then you'd need to tweak the truss rod for the neck a bit. As far as the newer models that are recessed, you can just put a block of wood in the trem cavity so it can only be used for divebombs and no pull-ups.

Keep an on ebay and the classifieds. While somewhat in demand, RRT models do show up every now an again used.
