  • Why not paint trem and control covers?

    Guys:

I was just wondering - why doesn't Jackson paint the trem and control covers on the back of the guitar? Would this be a custom shop item, or is there some technical reason for not doing it? I was just looking at the back of my snakeskin SL-1 and thought how much more cool it would look if the covers were painted to match the snakeskin pattern on the back of the guitar.

From a production standpoint, it's just quicker, cheaper, and easier to not paint them.

I had a Jackson Strat with RoadRunner graphic that had the control cavity cover painted.
