I still plan on having a Custom shop guitar built one day, and I'm curious about whether they will build a King Kelly. I'm not particularly interested in the extra cutouts, but I want the larger size, because a regular kelly is too small. Is a King Kelly that much bigger?

Re: Custom shop King Kelly
IIRC the King Kelly is original explorer size, I think the relation is once again around 7/8ths
Whether or not they´ll do them: I´d like to know as well, WITH cutouts

Re: Custom shop King Kelly
I think it's even more than 7/8's. If memory serves they have a Kelly that is somewhere between the king and the Kelly's of today. I think that one was the 7/8ths one.We must!
We must!
We must increase the bust!
The bigger the better!
The tighter the sweater!

There's definitely no doubt about that. Ron's lucky he's big. He could have lost a foot when you kicked Eddie McRoman in the ass.We must!

Yeah, Marty's a midget. I don't understand why everything is made for midgets. Fast food restaurants all have tiny seats and tables. Cars are made with no legroom, and tiny seats that have no thigh support. It's ludicrous! Everything seems to be catered towards an average height of 5 foot 4. Real people aren't 5 foot 4!!! Maybe I should move to Norway or Iceland, where people are normal sized. Re: Custom shop King Kelly
Oh, back to the original point of my post. I thought the custom shop would do any shape you wanted as long as it wasn't a Gibby shape. Let's say for arguments sake that they will. I assume a custom shaped guitar will cost significantly more than a standard shape. Right?

Yeah, but that's a special run. I thought Jeff (Metalcop) had a yellow King Kelly with cutouts made and I thought he said someone at Jackson mentioned that they wouldn't make them again because they're a pain in the ass to paint in the cutouts. Though, I don't see why they wouldn't build the king size body without cutouts.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
