Hey all,
Sorry I don't have a picture posted. But my buddy, who owns a music store here in town, just showed me a very cool old Jackson that I can't seem to identify.
It is a strat shape, with a Floyd. Black hardware. A single EMG pickup. The fingerboard is Maple (well worn, I might add) with dot inlays. Skunk stripe down the back IIRC. Headstock is a Strat shape. The finish is a snakeskin-not a painted on snakeskin, but real snakeskin, that is covered in a pretty thick clearcoat. The headstock matches the body with the real snakeskin, covered in clear. The headstock has a Jackson logo, but it doesn't say Made In USA anywhere on it. It is a 4 bolt neck with a plain black neck plate-no identifying marks at all.
And I might add, this is probably one of the heaviest guitars I've ever held.
Can anyone help me identify this? Could it be an early 80's Jackson? Didn't all the logos say "Made in USA" on them?
Thanks in advance for any help,
