That should fix it.

PS- I don't know if its evident in the pics, but these guitars are two different shades of pink. The '84 has an orange overtone where the '86 has a purple overtone. I like the earlier shade more.

P.S.- Looks like one of those Kahler behind-the-nut clamps, huh? No, the nut is standard old-style Floyd, through-the-neck. Here's the back...



Long ago, though, I replaced it with a Bill Edwards locking nut. That's what's in the pic. If you don't remember those, think Floyd nut w/out the allen wrenches.

Yeah, I remember them. I had some in the packages not too long ago. I sold them all on eBay thinking I would never use them (along with all my Floyd parts).

Will do. I have a growing wish list here for these types of parts. As of now this stuff is dirt cheap at guitar shows (when it shows up). I only wish I could go back in time just a year or two to get all the NOS Dimarzio and Mighty Mite stuff that was floating around at giveaway prices at the shows. Unfortunately many guys who brought that sort of stuff stopped because they brought most all of it back home.

Congrats! Boy, do I wish this was Floyd Equipped! I already have one SD Soloist with a Floyd, but its PINK! I still play it, but would love to find a dark red metallic Floyd model.

I now have three Kahler equipped guitars. On one I have swapped the springs (thanks to tips I found on this forum) to the heavier gauge set and it really improved how the trem feels to me. I don't miss the Floyd so much on that one. One advantage I found with the Kahler unit is that double bends don't sound as out of tune as with the Floyd. I am still a Floyd fan though.

Nice! There was one of those exact guitars on ebay a month or so ago. I almost bought it. Looky there, you have a covered pickup as well!
Voice X3 isn't alone!

Here is my '86 (right hand side). Note the 5 way switch. That is kind of a bonus, but why does it have to be pink!...lol.

PS- Does yours have a behind the nut locknut as well?

Yep, your pic is not showing.

BTW, that covered PU (J80C) is a mod. She originally had an uncovered J50. (...Still have that, too! [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] )
