• Decent used price in Europe

Hi guys,

Sorry to sound like a newbie again (RON!:p) but I'm going to probably sell my SL2 locally, I can't get used to the floyd rose, and this baby's too hot for me atm. I'm in a Les Paul phase.

and I'd like to know what a decent used price is for it here in EUROPE, so I know what to aim for.

Thanks
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

They usually run at about 1500-1800€ from what I've seen (and seeing that they cost 2400 new here )

If it's an SL2 as opposed to an SL2H, in the UK you'd be struggling to get more than £600 for it on a good day, if it was in mint condition (that's around 900 Euros)
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

It's candy Apple Red, 1996 and near mint.

Yes i guess they should be worth around 1500-1800 Euros. But i have yet to see a USA Jackson getting sold for that much money here. I think the market for USA Jacksons isn't that great in europe. After all not so many people know about the quality and normal stores don't stock such expensive guitars (at least Jacksons where they know it's difficult to sell) so you can't test them.
The most USA Jacksons i see on german ebay either sell around 800-1000 Euros or if they have a first bid of 1500 Euro or more they won't get sold and get relisted several times.

Oh i just saw you are selling a SL2, not the SL2H. Like neili said you will have a hard time selling it for much money. If people here in europe are prepared to lay down some serious cash for a USA Jackson they normally go for the SL1 SL2H versions with sharkfins.
I bought my SL2 here on german ebay for around 500 Euros.

1996 would make it the SL-2 with JT-580LP and unbound (or black bound) board, or?? Not a current SL-2H, right?

Then I agree with Neilli, 900 EUR should be considered a good deal, get offered anything above that and you should be shot for not selling

yet, Usa jacksons are scarcer in Belgium than Germany! I don't think there are 10 of them in Belgium in the shops at this moment. Someone I know bought a second hand one for 1200 in Germany, and that was a steal... I'd aim for 1200-1300 €

It is almost the same as mine:
-Deep candy red finish
-His has Duncans instead of Kent Armstrong pickups
-His has the low-profile JT-580LP.
-Bound ebony neck with NO inlays.
-Headstock matching the body paint (entire guitar same color)
-Headstock logo in white paint.

I've got virtually the same guitar.
It's a good one.
