Re: THE DEMON JACKSON

Well after talking to Hal about a Warrior I had for sale and him asking whether it is a San Dimas and arguing with me about Warrior's never being made at the San Dimas factory for 5 minutes I greatly question his knowledge of Jackson guitars. That's after the first minute it took me to get him to remember the email he had sent me about it in the first place. I think I could have had a better conversation with Ozzy.

Re: THE DEMON JACKSON

Chris just about summed up my dealings with Mr. Ph.D. He IS Ozzy. You should see the emails he sent me about the crappy Rhoads I sold him, which was funny because I never sold him a Rhoads.

RacerX man, that is too f'n funny. Where do you come up with this stuff? Hals description didn't make me laugh as much as that kid sticking the knife in the outlet. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Re: THE DEMON JACKSON

Hal has sent me strange emails out of the blue as well. Then when I respond he doesn't have a clue as to what I am talking about.

Hal wanted my '83 Rhoads string through. We chatted on the phone about it and I told him I didn't care to sell it. I would be happy to trade it though. I was only interested in Soloists, preferably San Dimas era. He is on the phone giving me mid-late 80's bolt on serial numbers. I told him I don't want bolt ons, I want a Soloist. He gives me more bolt on numbers. I stop him again and tell him Soloist=neck through. He says "Bolt on Jacksons are what people want. They are selling for around $2K. Soloists are not wanted, they aren't worth $500". Finally he finds an '89 Soloist. I ask for pics. Now he says he can't let it go for less than $1400.

Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

1400???? He told me he never pays more than 1000 for any graphic guitar. He was willing to give me a whole 1000 for the Saturn Warrior. Pretty much wasted my time with conversation about Jackson's that aren't what he thinks they are. And how the Warrior was a San Dimas design. Anyhow I'm glad a member of the board (Mr426) got the Saturn. It looks great with the rest of his collection also. And I'm with Joe. Sober up a bit Hal.

I am surprised that none of you actually know who Hal is! I guess I will have to fill you in.
Remember the commercial with the kid doing bong hits in his room as his mother was yelling up the stairs "did you find a job yet?". That's him. He also played Stoner Bud in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. There... now you all know.

You are correct. It shouldn't be done. Trying to pass off fake phony guitars and then expecting the members of this fine board to chime in with words of wisdom of why your deceiptful auction wasn't successful also shouldn't be done. We all would have thought it was a crap move if we had only saw it on Ebay and I am sure the notification thread would have died a quick death. By him posting his horsecrap auction on this message board he therefore opened himself up to a roast. And a roast is exactly what he is getting. One of the most important ingredients for a longstanding and successful message board is the integrity of its members. With that said I will now stumble off of my soapbox and go back into hiding.
