  • Replacing Tuning Pegs on Jackson Soloist

I am replacing the tuning pegs on my jackson soloist. They are so old they are falling off, literally. What a testament to how awsome the guitars are the thing stays in tune like no other. I thought maybe replacing them straght with jackson replacements, then i thought maybe somebody would have a better recommendation.

LSR tuners if money is not an issue otherwise Sperzel or Schaller are both very good. Good luck! And welcome to the fray! This forum just rocks!

Well if you're gonna get Jackson replacements, watch out for the price.. they ask a pretty steep amount if I remember right. I had just one little part on a DR3 tuner go missing (the knob kept falling off and one day the little washer went with it and I never found it) and I had to buy a whole new tuning peg, and just for one they charged like 10 bucks plus shipping (This was the Akai days)

Ebay. You can find replacement machine heads for like $20-$40.
