• Jumbo Frets/Neck Dimensions ?

I just checked the jacksonguitars.com page and it said that the following guitars...

Kelly (KE2)
King V (KV2)
Rhoads
Soloists

...All have 24 Jumbo Frets (except the Rhoads which had 22)

What I'm wondering about is the KV2, isn't that guitar made with a non-jumbo fretboard ?

Only thing I found was that the neck dimensions were different on some models

KE2 and KV2 - 3rd Fret: .775, 12th Fret: .835

Rhoads and Soloist - 3rd fret: .790, 12th fret: .850

Does anyone know anything about this ?

What's a non-jumbo fretboard?
The fretboards are all the same thickness as far as I know - just the neck backs are thinner. As long as the board is the same size you can use everything from super jumbo to tall and skinny.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hmm, A Gibson SG has very small frets and Jacksons have bigger, wider(jumbo) frets. That's what I meant.

Jackson has the KV2 specs wrong. It is the only production Jackson guitar now (that I know of anyway) with smaller frets. I believe they're considered medium jumbo. I don't know if it's like that on the import V models, but the USA model definitely has the smaller frets. Also, I'm pretty sure the Y2KV had the smaller frets because Mustaine wanted it like that.

Damn, I was hoping they had changed it to Jumbo

I have a Japan X-series. Anyone know what kinda frets are on those, medium jumbo ?

Anybody here love the Low/Wide Frets, I have come to like them as well if not better than Jumbo Frets Jack.
