I talked to Kevin Easton about this a while back. It can be done, but I think you have to send it to japan to get the profile scanned. $$$$$ [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

If it was one of those "EVH" things where he's had the neck for years and years and it's worn down in all the right places, then he'd want/need the neck laser scanned and modeled, then shot back to Ontario for the milling.
However, if it's not worn in all the right places after 10+ years of use, they can just measure it.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get one scanned and shaped? I have a few necks that I would like to make like my favorite neck.

Mulder, why would the neck need to be sent to Japan?! He's talking about having a custom built in Ontario. He could send the strat neck to the Custom Shop here in the USA and they would copy the profile. Right?

The Jackson Custom Shop is in the USA, in California, in Ontario. Not sure why anyone in their right mind would ship a neck to Japan for profiling when ordering a Custom Shop Jax.

I wonder why kevin said Japan if they can do it at Jackson [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] Maybe it's new for Jackson now, It has been at least 6 months since I talked to Kevin about it.

i just tried a les paul classic yesterday and that is my favorite neck of all time.cant i just ask guitar center for the neck profile and dimensions?what would i have to do to get that neck
