ZeNo, no I don't mean the serialnumber. I mean the number which goes with Grover's autograph. He numbered them.

Oh yes, the signature is perfectly authentic. It's a dead ringer for the one on my guitar. Email me and i'll send you pics 'cuz I can't upload any. Could've been washed off or something I suppose. Wouldn't worry about it and just enjoy your mighty fine guitar!

I'm from Australia and I just bought one of these too the other day.

Does anyone know the year? Going by the Jackson website, my serial number says it should be from 1984. However I have seen a few for sale in the US and they simply say a 1980's Jackson and another was more specific and said 1988.

I have found these guitars on sale in the US for anywhere between US$750 and US$1299. Is this typically what they are worth?

OK....I have found that the years of manufacture (again on the Jackson website) are actually from 1987 to 1989.....my silly mistake....looking at the Charvel serials!

But does anyone know what they are typically worth in US$?

And what the Original case looked like?

Hey Phantom. They are worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay for it. But I've seen these go for prices ranging from $450 to $550 or thereabouts. I'm not saying that that's what they're worth though. The market's odd. I got mine two years ago IIRC and I paid (estimation) the equivalent of $ 180! Go figure.

The case I have for mine is the grey jackson chainsaw case.
