wow...you got one of the red ones...wanted one of those for awhile...just for info...there is another red sparkle crackle soloist out there...with a matching headstock...searched for years and have never been able to uncover it...but it was sold thru metro music in atlanta about 15 years ago...congrats on scoring one...pics don't do them justice at all...d.m.
yes they´re def quite rare
recently saw a stripped and refinned one, it still had the amazing original HS matching to the silver one, rest was white seethrough uke:

No way Ron. lol That one is the best player I have ever had. I don't want to mess with perfection. Besides I bought the other one that has ebony to satisfy the visual appeal. I was debating bleaching them all to make them maple boards though.
We must!
We must!
We must increase the bust!
The bigger the better!
The tighter the sweater!
The boys are counting on us!
Solo,
Those have got to be the nicest sparkliest cracklies I've seen. Wish I could see them in person!
I hope you're only kidding about bleaching the fretboards!
Rock on,
Em
P.S. The crackle on the silver reversed head looks like some alien landscape! Very cool.
