XTRR--RR1--STUDENT RHOADS PICS....

Well, I learned something today. When a Canadian tells you a guitar is mint, he's not blowing smoke up your ass. This XTRR is absolutely as new. The size of it is really cool, feels great in your hands. The unfinished neck is smooth as hell, and the neck itself, to me, is a little thicker than any newer RR1 I have ever played. Also this is the first time I have seen ghost flames of any kind in person...Very cool indeed. Now for your daily humor. When I took it out of the case for the first time(at the office), I pulled the neck up to look at the nut, and cracked myself right in the forehead with the reverse headstock. Guess I better buy a helmet. Here's a few pics.

I have a RR2 and without pickguard looks so much better IMO.

That is one sweet ax, congrats. Is that an Invader in the bridge position? I had one of those in my SL2H and hated it. Switched for a Duncan Distortion and was much happier. Anyway, sweet Rhoads!

Man that is nice. I like the fact that the wings are considerably smaller than an RR1. I think I actually might like that better looks wise.

What do you think about the pups? (invader/full shred, right?) I gave in and nabbed the black (painted neck) xtrr that was on ebay along with the blood drip (the blood drip was damn tempting but the deal on the black one seemed too good to let go). I'll definetely give it a fair chance, but I don't have very high expectations for the invader (and have some EMGs that can go in in its place)

Congrats Shawn! I talked to Allen this morning and he told me that someone bid $930.00 including shipping on his XTRR as the auction closed so I got beat again. Oh well guess I'll just keep looking.
